Outreach and Evangelism Ministry

     Ask anyone living in Martinsville and the surrounding area about Forest Hills and they will tell you that we are there making a presence in the community. We strive as a body of believers to show Christ to our neighborhood and the commmunity through helping with local organizations whose purpose is to help those in need, but we also have our doors open.

    The Outreach and Evangelism Ministry promotes Christian formation within our congregation and extends itself into the community to proclaim the Gospel in word and deed.  The Ministry collaborates with other FHPC ministries to sponsor outreach events, including fairs, coffees, dinners, discussion forums, parental support events, and recreational activities.  It also seeks out opportunities for evangelism among neighbors in Martinsville and Henry County, using both Scripture and the actions and initiatives of FHPC to demonstrate Christian faith and beliefs.  The Ministry lifts up in organized and spontaneous prayer sessions the joys and trials of our community, and engages other churches and faith traditions in ecumenical dialogue.
