Mission and Relief Ministry

The Mission and Relief Ministry represents the bridges and linkages between Forest Hills Presbyterian Church and the world in need, locally and globally.  The Ministry assesses and responds to long-term and ad hoc requests for FHPC assistance and participation.  The range of Ministry actions includes financial donations, congregational on-site assistance, mentoring, sponsorship (e.g., of missionaries), and prayer.

The success of the Mission Ministry depends on our ongoing efforts to discern needs in the local community and beyond, and how our Lord leads us to respond and serve.  Actions of this ministry will require close coordination with other FHPC ministries as our church seeks to share the love of God near and far.

Currently supported missions are listed here.

This past May, 15 members of the congregation traveled to West Virginia to asssiste in home repairs.

FHPC participated in post-Katrina Relief Efforts in March, 2008 in Mississippi.
