Announcements

Welcome Jackie Compton:  We are delighted to have Jackie with us again as guest organist, and we thank her for contributing her musical talents to our worship this morning.

Graduate Sunday:  We honor our graduates this morning, and our young people will lead us in our worship service.  Aileen Correa, Nikki Lawson, Alex Wang, and Vera Yang are graduating from high school.  Leigh Anne Coble, Sherrill Dailey, Erin Givens, and Katherine Greer are graduating from college.

No Kidstuf Today:  The nursery is available for children four years old and younger, for parents who would like to choose that option.  Kidstuf will resume next Sunday, when children will start out in the sanctuary with the adults, then go to Kidstuf in Common Ground, following the anthem.

Lemonade on the Lawn:  We honor our graduates this morning immediately following our worship service.  Please stay for fellowship and refreshments.

Youth Today:  At 1:30 this afternoon, Marcy and our youth will meet with other teens at First Presbyterian to finalize their preparations for their TOP (Teens Opposing Poverty) outreach ministry.  Then, from 3 until 5 pm this afternoon, the youth will be in Wilson Park distributing hoagies, toiletries, socks, and underwear.  Please pray for their efforts as they reach out in the name of Jesus to all who come to the park today.

Bible Study:  The morning class at King’s Grant resumes at 9:30 this Tuesday morning.  Rev. Button is leading a study on Paul’s First and Second Letters to the Corinthians.  The class meets in the multi-purpose room across from Paul Johnson’s office.  All are welcome to attend any or all of the classes.

Choir:  This Wednesday is the Choir’s last rehearsal of the spring season.  They will continue to sing at Sunday morning worship services through July 1st, and then break for the summer.

Newsletter:  Please submit your ministry reports, articles, pictures, etc. to the office by Monday, May 28, for the combined June-July issue of the newsletter.

Songs of Grace:  Mark your calendars for Saturday, June 23 at 4:00 pm.  First Baptist Church of East Martinsville will host a praise celebration of music for Grace Network.  Everyone is invited to join with area choirs and congregations to make a joyful noise and praise God for all the blessings Grace has received.

Grocery Shopping:  Please keep Grace Network and Salvation Army in mind as you shop for groceries.  The primary item assigned to Forest Hills for May is canned fruit (12-15 oz); deodorant, laundry detergent, and beef stew (20-24 oz) are our other requested items.
