Common Ground - a Chapel at Forest Hills
In 2009, Forest Hills embarked on an exciting new project to transform the original sanctuary of our church into what we’re calling the Common Ground - a Chapel at Forest Hills. Completed in the winter of 2010, Common Ground retains all of its sacred nature as an area for worship, but brings a whole new energy and vibrancy to the ministry of the Gospel for our congregation and community.
Through careful changes in colors, textures, and furnishings – along with a 21st-century upgrading in electronics and digital media – Common Ground seeks to create fertile ground for:
- innovative worship
- music, drama, group performances
- meditation, study, classes
- movies for the family and for growth and reflection
- community-building through just hanging out
