About Us
The Forest Hills Presbyterian Church was organized in March, 1951 with thirty-six Charter Members. It is one of 145 churches in the Presbytery of the Peaks, Synod of Mid-Atlantic, Presbyterian Church (USA). The Session consists of nine ruling elders and the minister (or teaching elder). The ruling elders are elected by the congregation for a three year term of office. We have a unicameral government with the Session responsible for maintaining the Spiritual government of the Church.
The Presbyterian Church stands for a system of doctrine which proclaims the Sovereignty of God, the moral responsibility of man, and Jesus Christ as Savior of all who are drawn to Him in faith.
